I feel like we've been celebrating all month here. :-) First came Chinese New Year. One benefit of living in an international community is people are always sharing the festivities and traditions from their home country. A Father brought Chinese treats to Sara's class and taught them about the tradional salad toss for good fortune. And just a few days later another Mom taught them all about the Korean celebration. Sara's been proudly showing us the proper Korean girls bow.
Next came Valentine's Day. Of course the girls had class parties & Valentine exchanges at school and Quyen brought home flowers for his three girls for the 14th.But the biggest event was when Quyen took his two daughters on a date! They're going to the Girl Scout Father-Daughter Valentine Dance at a local hotel. No Mom's allowed. :-) Should be fun!
By the way, Sara's big news this month is losing both front teeth in the same week. She and her best friend lost their teeth within days of each other.
Love you all, Paula
